UPIP Academy is an online education and tutoring platform that provides personalized learning experiences outside traditional institutional settings. We believe in learning without walls, empowering students to learn at their own pace with expert tutors and comprehensive lessons across all subjects.

Our platform combines self-paced lessons, live tutoring sessions, gamification, and progress tracking to create an engaging and effective learning environment.

Creating an account is easy:

• Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner
• Choose your account type (Student, Parent, or Tutor)
• Enter your email address and create a password
• Verify your email address
• Complete your profile with basic information
• Start learning!

For students under 13, a parent or guardian must create the account.

We offer both free and premium options:

• Free Plan: Access to basic lessons, limited tutoring credits, and core features
• Premium Plan ($29/month): Unlimited lessons, priority tutor booking, advanced analytics, and exclusive content
• Family Plan ($49/month): Up to 4 students, all premium features, parent dashboard
• Tutoring Sessions: Pay-as-you-go starting at $25/hour or included credits with premium

We offer comprehensive coverage across all major subjects:

• Mathematics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics
• Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science
• English: Reading, Writing, Grammar, Literature
• History: World History, US History, Geography
• Languages: Spanish, French, German, Mandarin
• Arts: Music Theory, Visual Arts, Creative Writing
• Technology: Computer Science, Coding, Digital Literacy

Starting a lesson is simple:

• Go to the Lessons page from your dashboard
• Browse by subject or search for specific topics
• Click on any lesson that interests you
• Read the lesson content and watch any videos
• Complete the practice exercises
• Take the quiz to earn points

Your progress is automatically saved, so you can pause and resume anytime!

Points are our gamification system that rewards your learning efforts. You can earn points by:

• Completing lessons (50-200 points depending on difficulty)
• Scoring well on quizzes (bonus points for 90%+ scores)
• Maintaining daily study streaks (10 points per day)
• Unlocking achievements (25-500 points)
• Participating in challenges (variable points)

Points can be used to unlock special content, customize your profile, and compete on leaderboards!

To book a one-on-one tutoring session:

• Click "Find a Tutor" from your dashboard
• Filter by subject, availability, and rating
• View tutor profiles and reviews
• Select your preferred tutor
• Choose a date and time that works for you
• Confirm your booking

You'll receive a confirmation email with a link to join the session. Sessions are conducted via video call.

Absolutely! That's one of our core principles. Unlike traditional schools, there are no deadlines or rigid schedules. You can:

• Start and stop lessons whenever you want
• Repeat lessons as many times as needed
• Skip ahead if you already know material
• Take breaks without penalty
• Learn during hours that work best for you

We recommend setting personal goals to stay motivated, but the pace is entirely up to you.

Parents have access to a comprehensive dashboard that shows:

• Lessons completed and scores achieved
• Time spent studying each subject
• Learning streaks and consistency
• Strengths and areas needing improvement
• Tutor session summaries and notes
• Weekly/monthly progress reports

You can also set up email notifications for completed lessons, low scores, or missed study days.

From the parent dashboard:

• Navigate to Goals & Settings
• Click "Create New Goal"
• Choose goal type (lessons per week, points, subject mastery, etc.)
• Set target and timeframe
• Your child will see the goal on their dashboard

We recommend collaborating with your child to set realistic, motivating goals.

Yes! Parents can:

• Message tutors directly through the platform
• Join tutoring sessions as observers (with tutor permission)
• Receive session summary emails after each tutoring session
• Schedule parent-tutor conferences
• Provide feedback and ratings

Absolutely. We take privacy very seriously:

• We never sell student data to third parties
• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• We comply with COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA regulations
• Parents control what information is shared
• You can delete your child's account and data anytime

We're always looking for qualified tutors:

• Apply through our Tutor Application page
• Submit your credentials (degree, teaching certificates, etc.)
• Complete a background check
• Pass a subject knowledge assessment
• Complete our tutor training program
• Start accepting bookings!

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, passion for teaching, reliable internet connection.

Tutor earnings vary based on experience and subject:

• Entry Level: $20-30/hour
• Experienced: $30-50/hour
• Expert/Specialized: $50-100/hour

You set your own rates within guidelines. UPIP Academy takes a 20% platform fee. Payments are processed weekly via direct deposit.

Our tutor platform includes:

• Scheduling and calendar management
• Video conferencing with screen sharing
• Virtual whiteboard
• Student progress tracking
• Lesson plan templates
• Session notes and reporting
• Payment dashboard
• Student messaging system

To reset your password:

• Click "Login" then "Forgot Password?"
• Enter your email address
• Check your email for a reset link (check spam if needed)
• Click the link and create a new password
• Log in with your new password

If you don't receive the email within 10 minutes, contact support.

Try these troubleshooting steps:

• Refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
• Clear your browser cache and cookies
• Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
• Check your internet connection speed (minimum 5 Mbps recommended)
• Disable browser extensions that might block videos
• Update your browser to the latest version

If problems persist, contact technical support with details about your device and browser.

For video call connection issues:

• Grant camera and microphone permissions in your browser
• Close other programs using your camera/mic
• Check your internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps for video)
• Try refreshing the session page
• Use a wired connection instead of WiFi if possible
• Contact your tutor via messaging if you can't connect

If you miss a session due to technical issues on our end, you'll receive a credit for a free make-up session.

To fix email notification issues:

• Check your spam/junk folder
• Add noreply@upip-academy.com to your contacts
• Verify your email address in Account Settings
• Check notification preferences in Settings → Notifications
• Ensure your email provider isn't blocking our emails
